Import to EDA Tools - The EDA Part information is created under the <part_name> directory. If a <part_name> directory does not exists, it is automatically created. The log file contains a listing of the exact location where the files are created.
Import to DxDesigner
The Symbol Wizard creates a sym directory with the correct part information under the directory. To import into DxDesigner, simply copy the parts from the sym directory to the library directory within DxDesigner.
Import to Cadence Concept
The Symbol Wizard creates the correct part information under the part name directory. To import into Concept, simply copy the parts from the directory to the library directory within Cadence Concept.
Import to Cadence Capture (OrCAD)
Because of the binary format and lack of an API Interface, the Symbol Wizard uses the EDIF Interface to export to Cadence OrCAD format. Use the Import Edif Design to import the EDIF 2.0 library data in Capture format.
Import to Design Architect (DA)
Because of the binary format, the Symbol Wizard exports an AMPLE Script file for each of the heterogeneous parts and a mapping file for the PCB package.
To import the script file inside of Design Architect, perform the following steps:
Import to PADS Logic
Because of the binary format, the Symbol Wizard exports to the PADS Logic decal and map file ".c" and ".p". Import these file through the PADS Logic import facility. Select the Part Editor under the Tools menu function.
Select the Library under the Part Editor File function.
Bring up the parts and decal editor and import the <partname>.c and .p files.
